ActiveCare Remote Desktop Backup

ActiveCare – Remote Desktop Backup gives you control over your backups.  You can backup certain critical files off-site and still be able to backup other files to an on-site location such as a removable hard drive or another computer.

You can schedule your backups or backup manually.

ComTech’s ActiveCare Remote Desktop Backup has state of the art security, data transferred between your site and our servers with 256-bit SSL encryption.  Files stay encrypted when on our servers, only you and ComTech knows the encryption passwords.

No changes to your router or firewall is needed,  there is an encrypted tunnel between our servers and your PC’s by a standard port already open on all firewalls.

All packages include use of our Microsoft Windows-compatible backup software for use on one (1) PC, or laptop.  Licensed users can perform an unlimited number of backups and restorations using an existing internet connection.  While each windows device must have its own license, disk storage is ‘pooled’ across all systems in the selected plan.  Custom quotes are available for larger installations.

Backup You Control Unlike other remote backup solutions, ActiveCare – Remote Desktop Backup doesn't send your critical data to remote, unknown servers over which you have no control. Instead, you backup your clients' data directly to PCs or servers that you own or use, and ActiveCare – Remote Desktop Backup enables automatic connections between the machines – so you always know where your clients' data is, and you stay in complete control.
Scheduled Backup Automating scheduled backups is easy. Select the files and folders to create a Backup Set, specify how often and when you'd like the backups to be performed, and ActiveCare – Remote Desktop Backup will automatically send your Backup Sets to your Storage PC(s).
Multiple Backup Versions Specify the number of scheduled backup versions you'd like to keep, so you can restore from the most recent set – or one from months ago.
Manual Backup Create immediate, one-time Backups with just a few clicks. Select your files and folders, give your Backup Set a name, and your data is quickly transferred to your Storage PC for easy retrieval later.
Backup Anywhere Backups can take place across oceans, across town, or from one part of the office to another. ActiveCare – Remote Desktop Backup's peer-to-peer technology gives you data transfer unencumbered by 3rd-party gateways: your backups enjoy transfer speeds as fast as the network will allow.
State-of-the Art Security All data transferred between machines is securely encrypted via 256-bit SSL. By default, your Backup Sets are stored in a password-protected, encrypted state on the Storage PC, so no matter where you store your data, you are the only person who can access it.
Firewall and Router Proof The ActiveCare – Remote Desktop Backup Gateway enables instant connections between your PCs, with no configuration of firewalls and routers required. Simply install ActiveCare – Remote Desktop Backup on two (or more) PCs, and when you launch the application, the machines will appear in your Storage PC list.
Multiple Storage Locations With the latest version of ActiveCare – Remote Desktop Backup, you can specify multiple storage locations on the same machine.

Efficient Backup Management: Define which folders can be viewed and used by Source PCs, enabling you to more efficiently route backup sets.

Increased Privacy: Restrict which storage folders your customers can view, helping to ensure your users' privacy.

Local Off-line Backups The latest version of ActiveCare – Remote Desktop Backup introduces the ability to perform local backups even if the machine is off-line

Enhanced Redundancy: Supplement your existing off-site backups by scheduling daily local backups on your Source PCs – even if the machine is off-line
